What about the Dads?
Wednesday, June 23rd 2010 @ 9:45 PM
I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon. After church we drove over to the campus of the local university and went to a car show. But it was different than any other Sunday had ever been for my husband, for in his arms was our six month old son, Travis. He had on a little, white, sun hat to protect him from the bright rays as we wandered from car to car. I tried hard to act interested in the various makes and models. But my heart was honestly focused on something far greater. It was caught up with the lump in my throat at watching my husband celebrate his very first Father's Day as a daddy. And the gentleness combined with the obvious love he had for this little new "man" in our life was more than evident.
So this past Father's Day was for many of the amazing dads with which we have been honored to work over this past year. See if you don't see that same gentleness, pride and love in their expressions in these photos. We think you will. And to those fathers who have shared their lives and journey with us over the past year, may you be richly blessed by both our Father in Heaven and the little ones who have come into your lives. Happy First Father's Day.

CAN YOU HELP?
Although we do not have the housing option at this moment, the phone still rings with just as many women needing housing referrals, counseling, and support to walk through the trials of an unplanned pregnancy. Please help us help them as they seek to walk out the option of choosing life for their child.
