So many ways to be God's hands and feet!

 So many things hoppin' here at Breath of Life.  Wondering where you might be able to help?  We're so glad you asked!  Here are some important needs we have right now to be able to help our young women who are currently our clients:

*A car for a new mom of two little ones
*A standing baby swing
*A baby monitor
*And......things to fill up an apartment for a past client who has lost her apartment belongings due to an infestation.  her apartment has been treated and is now clean.  However, she only has a queen sized mattress that she let's the children sleep on.  We're needing some volunteers to gather some trucks and/or trailers and take a couple of days to pick up donations to help her have a home again.
*Can you imagine being 8.5 months pregnant with a six year old and no AC in one of the hottest summers in Texas history?  Could you help us by fixing one of our mommy's cars ac?? PLEASE??
*We need volunteers to help with some food items for some important upcoming events:     

 
We have a
 ROCKATHON coming up in October, an all-nighter for jr/sr highers who will spend the time raising funds for BOL
  A WOMEN'S MINISTRY TEA This will be a drop by day for the area women's ministry coordinators to stop by and see what BOL is all about. We'll need some light refreshments.
A BIRTHMOTHER'S FALL EVENT  This precious group of moms who have placed their little ones for adoption are some of our own special heroes?  We have a get together coming up SEPTEMBER 19th and need some goodies for the bbq.  It's likely to be a small group with so many out of town for school, etc., probably less than ten.  But if you want or can contribute, please let us know.

Did anything grab your attention?  We don't just make up things so we can have updates sent out......Sorry. We're just not that clever at this point...;-)  Here are some areas we're hoping for help:

*Moving Day for downsizing our storage units tba in October.  Need trucks, hands and trailers if available

*Concert Team:  manpower for lighting, sound and concert prep and presentation

*PR for BOL within Austin and beyond

*Coordinating the various states and their maternity homes.  What's your home state?  Want to help us get them organized and made aware of by those who need them?  We need your help.  Easy, quick training provided. 

*A couple of our clients are currently living at the Texas Baptist Children's Home.  One of their guidelines is that if you deliver your baby and need any bed rest, you must stay somewhere else during your recovery following delivery.  We have a birthmother ready to deliver within the next 3 or 4 weeks who will need a very temporary place to recover.  She also has a six year old.  The two of them just need someone willing to love on them during this critical time.  She will also be going through the placement of her newborn for adoption so it will be a painful, joyful, bittersweet time for both of them.  If you feel up to this challenge and the chance to literally be God's arms and heart to this mother, please contact us.

We've been unable to keep up the quarterly newsletters this year due to the cost involved.  So we're particularly excited about the upcoming, first newsletter of 2009. Could you join us at the office one evening to help get it ready for a bulk mailing?

We're finishing up our vocal auditions for our concert team.  Has God been bugging you about using your gift of music??

We are constantly wanting and needing to update our website (www.BreathOfLifeSite.org).  Is this a gift God has given you that you could help us with by donating some time to help BOL?  We also are wanting to make some new media pieces.  Got the video/director's bug??  We can use your help!

As you can see, the tremendous amount of need continues to pour in from our clients.  We appreciate your prayers, your offers of help and donations and are determined to be here to take care of these hard-working moms and their God-given little ones.  THANK you for considering how God might use you in BOL.
