Prayer requests

Tuesday, January 27th 2009 @ 5:59 PM    post viewed 221 times

*Please continue praying for tiny baby Aaron Matthew, our own Glenda and Kirby's newest grandchild.  He was delivered at 32 weeks and was given blood transfusions throughout his mother's pregnancy.  He was brought home, then returned to the hospital last Thursday for another transfusion, and now the doctors think that he may require monthly transfusions until he is a year old.

*This week we received not one, but TWO notes from graduates telling us that the good place they are now is due specifically to our ministry being there for them.  It is always SO incredibly encouraging to hear that.  I wanted to pass that along to YOU as your support and prayers are the core of allowing us to serve.

*Know a good singer?  Sarah's Song Concert Ministry is about to set an audition date in the next couple of weeks.  We will be adding a male and female vocalist to the team.

*Looking for a different project to jump into or provide for?  I know you are.....Here are some specific needs our ministry has right now.  If you can help, please respond to this email or give our office a call at 512-219-8322.
*Newsletter Funding ($600)       *Small maintenance projects at the office
*New Signage for the office        *New laptop for administrator

We have several single moms with whom we work with frequently.  Here are some of their various needs:

*Various household cleaners    *Diapers (all sizes)       *Gift cards to HEB or Walmart
*Basic car maintenance           *Little children's clothing    *Christian music and videos      *Administrative help for Glenda Kyle, Director of Development

Any and all of these thing bring both aid and encouragement to those women single parenting, one of the hardest jobs in the universe.  It also gives us a chance to experience the blessing of giving to those in need....even when we ourselves are sometimes trying to make ends meet.  God shows up in amazing ways when we trust Him and stretch ourselves.
