Finding Hope

“I didn’t have any hope. I was completely beaten down. I knew if I didn’t get help I wouldn’t make it any farther. I thank God for those willing to give me another chance and for love that doesn’t come with strings attached. I don’t know if I’d be here if you guys hadn’t been there for me. I love you.” ~Joy
BEFORE: Joy came to us completely broken. After eleven years of working in the men’s entertainment business, she was exhausted, beaten down and wanted desperately for someone to offer hope, something she hadn’t felt for years. Technically, we only accept women from a maternity home setting, but something strongly urged me that this woman was willing to make the change in her life that would turn it around. Having been sexually assaulted and beaten 3 months into her pregnancy, she came with teeth missing and a fear that something might’ve happened to her unborn child during the attack.
NOW: Joy accepted Christ and was baptized into Him during her time with us. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Payton. She is enrolled in college working towards an Accounting degree and carries all A’s in her classes. She still attends our Bible Study and lifeskills classes as a graduate and stays in close contact with our staff, growing from their encouragement and unconditional love. She was given a brand new beautiful set of teeth that show off her winning smile and the joy she has found in her new life.
