Ministry Purpose

Sarah’s House is a Christian home for single, expectant mothers. It houses up to four adult women at a time, with a fulltime houseparent staff.

We address various obstacles for the young mothers by providing individual help in the areas of single parenting, problems with drug/alcohol abuse, the mentally challenged, or those considering adoption.

Our home provides shelter, love, and encouragement for women who desire an alternative to abortion.

Ministry Description

The program, which has been designed for the home, includes classes on nutrition, birthing, financial management, adoption, home safety, single parenting, infant care, cooking, crafts, and other life skills. These are taught by volunteers from the community and various supporting churches. Volunteers are also used as one-on-one support partners and are a friend and “encourager” during this difficult time for the ladies.

The program seeks to establish and promote a sense of responsibility in the women. There are guidelines and certain requirements regarding working or attending school, church attendance, personal counseling, and house chores that must be followed.

Most importantly, we are seeking to show these women the love of Jesus Christ through our love for them. We desire to show them what a magnificent God we have, one who will guide us and love us through any situation in which we may find ourselves.

 This program is temporarily suspended while we raise funds for the Breath Of Life Educational Facility, a project that has been a vision from God for several years now. We continue to find housing for women in need on a daily basis, both from Shepherding Homes in our community and in our wide network of maternity homes across the US. We also continue to offer counseling, medical aid, clothing, and simply walk alongside the women who come to us in a time of confusion, offering God's hope and love.
