Heart Of Hope Maternity Home

  Houseparents

The Houseparents shall be called of God and to the mission of Heart of Hope. They will be committed to serving and willing to work to create a Godly Christian home atmosphere and be firm but loving in relationships, realizing many women will come with problems associated with men, authority figures, and deep hurts. 

House Assistant

The Houseparent Assistant shall be called of God; committed to serve under the direction of the Houseparents to create a Godly Christian home atmosphere and be firm but in relationships, realizing many women will come with problems associated with authority figures, and deep hurts.

About the program: 

Heart of Hope will serve young women between the ages of 11 and 20 years. We will focus on providing physical, spiritual, and emotional support; education, life skills education, and decision-making skills.


Mission Statement:

• To meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of young ladies facing a crisis pregnancy by walking beside them as they decide whether to parent or to place for adoption

• To help them set career goals by instituting a plan of action

• To commit to aftercare for those who are not ready or able to return to their former life

Hannah House Maternity Home
Longview, TX

Houseparents:

House Mom

She will care for the girls and meet each birthmother’s needs:
-Model the role of a Christian mother/wife to the girls
-Emotionally, Intellectually, Spiritually, and Physically
-To maintain an orderly schedule with structure and rules of the household
-To drive girls to school, appointments, and grocery store
-To take girls to Wal-mart
-To coordinate meals, chores
-To disperse medication
-To do room checks
-To maintain records
-To teach basic live skills like: cooking, cleaning, and laundry
-To implement licensing requirements that maintains safety in the household:

Ongoing fire drills, emergency procedures, checking food expiration dates
-To have knowledge of the ministry and be able to relate that to tours, guests, and girls
-She will support the girls during delivery and may act as her labor coach during deliveries (correlate with On-Site Director)
- *Discipline as needed 

House Dad

-Model the role of a Christian husband/father to the girls
-Care for the grounds around the Hannah House and Mary Hannah House
-Support the house mom
- *Discipline as needed
-Minor maintenance around the house and outside

*Discipline: meaning a form of implementing the rules in ways agreed upon by House parents and On-Site Director. This is in the form of taking away privilegs usch as phone time, television watching, or special activities. This may also be in the form or journaling, or minor work around the house or yard.

Loving Christian Maternity Home
 (Wichita Falls, TX)

 We are seeking a committed Christian couple to be our next house parents. The house parents live at the maternity home and have direct supervision of our girls.  The house mother will work full-time and the house father can maintain a full-time job elsewhere.  Salary includes room and board.
